Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for utilities, earthworks, drainage, structures and public realm works.
- Analyse drawings, specifications and BOQs, producing accurate take offs and first principles cost build ups.
- Source supplier and subcontractor pricing and identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.
- Support tender submissions and work closely with planning, engineering, procurement and commercial teams.
- Maintain cost databases, benchmarking data and market intelligence to strengthen future bids.
Skills & Experience
- Background in estimating civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods and sequencing.
- Proficient in take offs, pricing and digital estimating tools.
- Strong analytical, numerical and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Desirable: Degree/HNC/HND in a construction discipline, and knowledge of NEC contracts and BIM/4D/5D workflows.
