We are seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our London-based planning team, supporting the delivery of large-scale, complex programmes across the UK and internationally. This role sits within a high-performing consultancy environment, working alongside clients, contractors, and delivery partners on high-profile developments.
The successful candidate will play a key role in developing, managing, and assuring integrated project schedules, providing expert planning insight across all stages of the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and control detailed project programmes using Primavera P6
- Produce baseline, target, and live schedules aligned with project objectives
- Carry out critical path analysis, progress updates, and programme forecasting
- Identify risks, constraints, and opportunities within project schedules
- Support change control, impact assessments, and mitigation planning
- Interface with clients, project managers, engineers, and commercial teams
- Prepare planning reports and schedule narratives for senior stakeholders
- Contribute to programme assurance, governance, and best-practice planning processes
- Mentor junior planners where required
Required Experience & Skills
- Extensive, hands-on experience using Primavera P6 (essential)
- Experience working on large, complex projects or programmes
- Strong understanding of project controls, planning methodologies, and reporting
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholder interfaces
- Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills
- Comfortable working in a consultancy or client-facing environment
Desirable
- Background in major infrastructure, construction, or large-scale development projects
- Familiarity with NEC or similar contract environments
