Key Objectives
- Assimilate and summarize project information to effectively communicate work scope and delivery intentions to all stakeholders.
- Produce fully resourced programmes, ensuring all outcomes conform with technical expectations and contractual requirements.
- Contribute to the project risk register and undertake comprehensive programme risk analysis (QSRA).
- Support the Estimating team with justified schedules for temporary works and other indirect cost items.
Typical Duties
- Create and manage project programmes using industry-standard software (P6, Asta, TILOS) for both tendering and contract delivery.
- Define methods and establish production outputs in consultation with estimators, the wider project team, and the supply chain.
- Prepare high-quality visual material and documentation to support planned construction methods.
- Liaise with design engineers to establish design briefs for temporary works and ensure their integration into the master schedule.
- Attend bid reviews and project handover meetings to present a clear view of the work scope and the strategic intentions for delivery.
- Coordinate with the project team to provide necessary feedback reports and ongoing planning support.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 5 years' experience on major Civil Engineering and/or Construction projects.
- Specific experience working on HV Power, Transmission, and Distribution projects.
- Proficiency in planning software including Primavera P6, Asta, TILOS, and QSRA.
- Active experience in a wide range of planning techniques serving both tendering and contract delivery.
- Clear understanding of the commercial and contractual interfaces within the planning function.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage project documentation in an orderly fashion.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) delivery.
- Proven track record in mentoring junior staff or providing technical planning advice to site teams.
- Advanced knowledge of energy transition markets and innovative construction technologies.
