This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in the delivery of major industrial and logistics developments, working at the heart of high‑value construction projects where programme certainty really matters.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Planner who brings clarity, foresight, and strong technical planning expertise—someone who can develop robust, realistic programmes and work collaboratively with project teams to keep delivery on track from tender through to completion.
Why This Role?
This is more than a site‑based planning role. You’ll be central to the successful delivery of large‑scale warehouse and logistics projects, with values up to £70m, influencing outcomes across both pre‑construction and live projects.
Based from the Birmingham office, you’ll partner closely with delivery, commercial, and design teams to ensure programmes are practical, well‑sequenced, and aligned with overall project strategy—supporting confident decision‑making throughout the project lifecycle.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the development, management, and maintenance of detailed construction programmes using ASTA Powerproject
- Provide planning leadership across tender and delivery stages, including sequencing, methodology, and logistics planning
- Monitor site progress and produce regular programme updates, reports, and critical path analysis
- Identify programme risks, delays, and constraints, implementing mitigation and recovery strategies where required
- Work closely with site, commercial, and design teams to maintain alignment with programme and project objectives
- Support extension of time (EOT) assessments and programme‑related contractual matters
- Engage with subcontractors and the supply chain to ensure accurate programme integration and updates
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of planning processes, standards, and best practice
What You Bring
- Proven experience operating as a Senior Planner within the construction industry
- Strong background in industrial, logistics, or other large‑scale build projects
- In‑depth understanding of construction methodologies, sequencing, and phasing
- Experience across both pre‑construction and live project delivery
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
What’s in It for You
- Salary: £85,000 – £95,000
- £6,000 car allowance
- Pension and full benefits package
- Opportunity to work on high‑value, complex projects with clear responsibility and influence
