We're recruiting for an MRICS Project Quantity Surveyor to join a global consultancy in Newcastle, delivering cost management services across a diverse portfolio of projects throughout the North East.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile developments spanning residential, commercial offices, retail, and sports & leisure sectors, providing exposure to projects from inception through to completion.
The Role
As a Project Quantity Surveyor, you'll play a key role in delivering professional cost management services, working closely with clients, design teams, and contractors to ensure projects are delivered successfully and within budget.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing full pre and post-contract cost management services.
- Preparing cost plans, estimates and feasibility studies.
- Managing procurement and tender processes.
- Contract administration and commercial advice.
- Cost reporting, valuations and change management.
- Managing project budgets and financial performance.
- Building strong client relationships and supporting repeat business.
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams across a variety of sectors.
We're looking for someone who has:
- MRICS Chartered status.
- Consultancy experience within the UK construction and/or infrastructure industry.
- Strong cost management and commercial skills.
- Experience delivering projects within residential, commercial, retail or sports sectors.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong knowledge of UK construction contracts and procurement routes.
