Overview
We are recruiting an experienced Project Controls Lead to support the delivery of complex, high-value defence programmes within a highly regulated environment. This role is critical to ensuring excellence across planning, cost control, risk management, change control, and performance reporting on mission-critical projects. You will work closely with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary delivery teams, providing clear insight, governance, and control throughout the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all project controls activities, including schedule, cost, risk, change, and performance management
- Develop, maintain, and assure integrated project schedules aligned to regulated lifecycle and assurance frameworks
- Produce cost forecasts, earned value analysis (EVM), and performance reports for senior leadership
- Establish and maintain project controls standards, processes, and governance
- Support project and engineering teams with risk, opportunity, and change management
- Interface with engineering, commercial, safety, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Experience in Project Controls on large, complex programmes
- Background in Defence, Aerospace, Nuclear, Infrastructure, or similarly regulated sectors
- Strong expertise in planning, cost management, risk management, and earned value management (EVM)
- Proven ability to operate within strict governance, assurance, and contractual frameworks
- Proficiency in tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Power BI, and Excel
- Eligible for UK Security Clearance (or currently holding clearance)
